we arrived early and signed in and they gave us a number. so we waited for a long time. our appointment time was 11:30 am and just past 12:00 lunch time, they said just to come back after lunch. after lunch we kept waiting for another hour before a woman called our number and we went back to her room. she found our file and started going thru the file and then asked for my wife's birth certificate. she did not like the looks of it, and said we would have to get a new one. we told her that it was issued by the NSO in the philippines and if you got another one it would be the same, by the way i had extra copies of with me. she then asked to see our proofs of living together, so i gave her bank letter and insurance letter and other papers from the state of florida showing that we lived in the same address. that is all she wanted even though i had brough a briefcase full of documents and proofs per the visa guides. the she asked my wife if she had a criminal record or was planning c... read complete review

Review Topic: General Review

I went to the new Orlando office in November 2008. The security officers and check-in man for the infopass were very nice! But, the USCIS officer I talked to was not. I had a simple question that had to do with the I-134 Affidavit of support. That question was, "where do I send it?" He would not give me a straight answer and got very irritated with me. He ended our conversation by saying "Look at my badge. See my badge? This badge has nothing to do with what you're asking me! See my badge!?". I left very upset. I mean seriously!? So I called the embassy when I got home and asked them the same question. They said that I had to call USCIS or go into them and ask! This is a joke. I'd never go in to ask a question again after the way that officer talked down to me! Talk about running around in circles!

Ok, I didnt have any information regarding our case so I really became impatient and went to the local USCIS office. I am sorry to say that I was mistreated there. I felt there they were just a bunch of bullies trying to make fun of people who immigrate to the US. Once they came to know that I was from the US and a USC, they treated me better. I feel bad and sorry for all those who have to undergo this mistreatment.

Review Topic: Other Experience

USCIS Office on Tradeport Dr. Of course, staff is very helpful & may sound professional, but be aware!!! We had info pass appointment to get forms and to ask simple questions about procedures. We were given forms we're not eligible to file, officer seemed so confident - we didn't even have 0.000001% doubt (instead we should have gone to talk to an attorney) Make story short, one application (by the way it was approved by another "confident" officer) triggered deportation proceedings...Now we're having a hard ride. But the most upsetting thing: we trusted USCIS employees and thought highly about their confidence, hoped that they have proper training therefore have more knowledge than every attorney in town...Why even bother to call themselves Customer Service - they can't help even in simple situation? They should just refer everybody to attorneys directly, without screwing our lives Sorry f... read complete review

The Staff and Officers are all very courteous and efficient in their job. Delays are very minimal and reasonable but mostly they are on time in their schedule.
